Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the steps in the development of an e-module and to assess the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the STEM-based e-module in improving students' mathematical literacy skills on the topic of Systems of Linear Equations with Two Variables for 8th-grade students at SMPN 2 Ngantru. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model. The data collection techniques were conducted through observation, questionnaires, and tests. The data analysis techniques include the analysis of the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the e-module. The validation results from content experts and media experts showed percentages of 88% and 86.6%, respectively. The practicality of the e-module, based on teacher observation sheets, teacher response questionnaires, and student response questionnaires, received percentages of 80%, 87.2%, and 85.4%, respectively. The findings of the study indicate that there was an improvement in students' mathematical literacy skills after using the STEM-based e-module, with a significance value of less than 0.05. Therefore, the developed e-module is considered valid, practical, and effective in improving students' mathematical literacy skills and supporting the learning activities.
